Arriva Trains at Garsdale

An Arriva Trains Glasgow to Leeds working is seen passing through the station on September 8 2004. Note the 16 workmen cottages which were built by the Midland with locally quarried limestone. They were constructed with a double sided protruding front porch which served two houses. One of these cottages, number 7, was originally occupied by the Station Master Mr. Bunce. Garsdale was one of only too stations along the line where the Midland did not build a house for the Stationmaster, the other one being Culgaith.
