Norfolk Southern Intermodal Crosses the James River, Virginia
I have been known to walk across some railroad bridges in order to get "a different shot" but only when I could see well into the distance in both directions and only when there were platforms to step on to if an "unexpected" train appeared. The length of this bridge, blind bends at both ends and no sanctuary points should make this trestle off limits to everyone. Here 4 Norfolk Southern Thoroughbreds lead by GE Dash 9-40CW 9903 were photographed crossing the James River in Virginia with a Northbound Intermodal working.
