This wee dwelling dates from before the Battle of Culloden.
The thatched roofed farmhouse of Leanach which stands today dates from about 1760. It however stands on the same location as the turf-walled cottage which existed at the time of the battle, and which likely served as a field hospital to Government troops following the battle.
