Wisconin State Capitol
Madison, Wisconsin. This view is from low on the University of Wisconsin's Bascom Hill through the State Street Mall to the Capitol. The dome of the Capitol is the largest granite dome in the world.
The statue atop the state capitol building is named "Wisconsin" and was placed on the capitol dome as a symbol of the state's motto, "Forward." Daniel Chester French, who also created the fabulous Abraham Lincoln statue for the Lincoln Memorial, sculpted "Wisconsin" in 1914 to symbolize the spirit of Wisconsin progress. (Wikipedia)
