Did you ever just sit and talk to a tree?

Red oaks are a fine looking red tree but on a dark, rainy day their color turns a deep shade what with the water glistening off their leaves. The leaves are normally more the color of the dead leaves on the ground.

The color display of the trees in Arkansas have been absolutely marvelous this year. Cold nights, warm days and just enough moisture this year to keep them healthy throughout an otherwise dry year throughout the Central Southern states.

No one on the benches the day I shot this in what is called Whittington Park. Wonderful place for walking, bike riding, jogging, band concerts, and well...sitting and talking to a tree.
