Ghost Writing on the Wall
Built in the early 1900's this building's wall has seen plenty of advertisement. No advertisement for the pancake shop inside at the moment but there are no 10¢ cigars to be found inside(or anywhere else on the planet for that matter).
This type of old faded writing on the outside of these brick buildings is what is known as "ghost writing". What strikes me as most interesting is the layers of the writing. I never noticed it but underneath Tom Moore you can just make out an advertisement for Coca Cola.
Now I've only lived in this town for five years and I've just now spotted it. I asked the owner of the local Coca Cola bottling company about and she said she's never even noticed it and her family's been in this town for generations.
Goes to show what you see when you get to looking at stuff with your camera.
