Edwin Davis Building
The Edwin Davis Building, this department store closed in 1978 and has remained empty to this day apart for a short while and in a sorry state, my wife worked here in the late 1950s the stoke opened I think in 1952 on this spot a small street running off to the side is called Davis Street. The building after all these years is about to be pulled down and replaced with who knows what as only an artist drawing has been published, and we all know things never seldom turn out that way. I wanted to take these photos before it disappeared for good, being a big part of the cities history. Photos taken on the 17 February 2019 both in Colour and Monochrome
