My Worst Nightmare
We were in town for a family celebration and I volunteered to take my 5 year-old granddaughter to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
I had the carousel in mind and hurried past these two, side by side, death-defying contraptions that had me in an anxiety-producing sweat despite the November chill.
Sami was intent on riding these or at the very least, a roller-coaster and the bigger the better. I finally compromised and agreed to the bumper cars but fortunately for me, she wasn't quite tall enough to ride.
Next time, she has to come with her more adventuresome mom.
