Pipe Laid to Rest

One section of new main sits in the bottom of the trench atop a layer of gravel. Plug in the bottom end keeps debris from entering. Elbow at top end makes the initial turn that will take the water main up the hill.

 

Please note the lateral line that crosses the midsection of the new main. Maneuvering the latter into place required some elaborate choreography.
