Spectacled Eider Pair
Once the ponds freed from Ice the Eiders moved in and were photographable. Although we found few Eiders along the roads.
By glassing from the top of the Rental Van I was able to locate them in various distant ponds and with short hikes we were able to photograph them.
I always try when possible to get both the female and males when together, In this image I captured each Independently as they swam by to get each in focus and then stitched them together in post. Otherwise they were too close to photograph with each in same the frame.
