This Long Billed Dowitcher was photographed on the Tundra in Barrow Alaska.
Spring arrived almost 3 weeks late this year to Barrow, Which is a pretty big deal. since the season for raising chicks and young is relatively short.
Im told the Ocean is still Frozen there but most of the Ponds are now open. Upon leaving the Tundra was just starting to get some color to it, Mostly It held winter colors during our visit.
