7Up UnCola Virtual Billboard Museum (28) #7Upvintage

1/16/18:

Updated look at 28 of the 30 billboards in my collection to date. The "Coming Soon" list has expanded to 6 now.

They're arranged in chronological order as much as I can tell based on codes on the back of upper left Panel A1 and billboard/poster offers with known expiration dates.

The early releases in 1969, 1970 & part way through 1971 were easy to place in order with the year built into the code on the back. After that, either the printer, J Walter Thompson (JWT) [advertising] Co. or Seven Up adopted a 5-digit code using 711xx or 712xx. I've arbitrarily assumed those are 1971 and 1972, but it's just my guess. Near the end of the campaign, they stopped adding codes altogether so it becomes less clear. My billboard/poster offer expiration dates or other more obscure clues then becomes more important.

- - - 2/8/18: (14) of my duplicate billboards have recently been listed on eBay for the first time ever where I have a 100% positive feedback rating. Contact me directly here on Flickr if you're interested in making an offer on one or more of the billboards, or several of my standard sized smaller 7Up posters. For starters, you can skip the 10% eBay fee.
