fighting climate change, a new hope
Inflation Reduction Act, just signed into law today, ironically by
its name may not do too much to tackle the swelling of living expenses for average citizens. But it is a welcoming rescue tool to help fight the global warming, at least in the USA. A right direction. This is exactly what I'm so hoping for, and it's happened. Hooray!
Of course, fabulous benefits from it also include capping for prescription drugs, green energy boost, and some extra $ to pay down national deficits. It's time the large corporations to pay a bit more fair share. Due tax $$$ should not always go wholly to the pockets of wealthy shareholders. The colossal fair share hard cash belong to the nation to benefit all, not to sitting dead in the bank vaults of Caribbean, Costa Rica, or Switzerland. It's a conscientious responsibility as simple as that. Sadly though, the shameful senator Sinema has bailed out Wall Street this time. Despite that, the principal benefits from this Act will go to help the poor, the middle income, and our beloved Earth. And that matters.
Let's celebrate, a good new day forward.
