Green Avenue, West Chester, 1889
The Map Room of the 42nd Street Public Library
has excellent maps from 1889 and 1891 of what is
now the Bronx
My G-Grandnparents Michael and Maria McNulty
built a house, still standing, at the X,
Note Seabrey Creek which was filled in, but still
periodically flooded our basement at 1503 Zerega
Avenue when I lived in the house.
Also note:
Steam Boat Landing
Bowne & Son General Store
J.J. Mallett Lumber Yard
and the
German Odd Fellows Home,
which is still there
