EXPLANATION OF ART PIECE:
neal, my husband, has been having a problem with his eyes since october 2009. i have made him three shrines to "help" him. they seem to have worked as his 6 months of double vision are gone and his eye surgery is over and his eyes are now ok. but i want to make sure that no further problems befall him, so i made this (voudou) offering as stronger "help" to ensure a healthy year to come.
there are many tiny jewel stars on the dress of the woman that the girl is cradling in her arms. unfortunately i am not sure that the photograph of this offering allows you to see how they sparkle.
