1973 John Player Norton
The JPN monocoque was the most radical race bike design of the 70s. Designed by its rider, Peter Williams. The “perimeter” box section frame incorporated both fuel and oil tanks, plus ducted cool air to the engine. With this revolutionary bike, Peter won the 1973 Formula 750 TT at a record speed of over 105 mph with a lap at 107 mph.
