SHOT AT DAWN

Popperinge, Belgium. The cell where many soldiers were held before being shot at dawn. Many were deserters, suffering from shell shock. Today to mark the 90th Anniversary of the end of The Great War, tributes were left from around the world. including (front right) a note from future soldiers from Catterick, North Yorkshire.
