Photogram

We were told to create a photogram that had a narrative. I had no idea what to do at first because our teacher only gave us over lunch to come back with some items. I picked some flowers and arranged them into a bouquet, then exposed the flowers first then took the flowers off the arranged area and just put sheet music over the areas where the flowers were exposed. My first piece didn’t make much sense unless there was an explanation to it. So, I recreated the whole thing to make more sense. The overall narrative of the photogram was my constant struggle and growth as a musician throughout the time i’ve been classically trained. The desolate blank area at the bottom shows how little I know, then it starts to bloom and I gain more knowledge in the area.
