STYLE DETAILS :
It was an exciting moment being invited to take part of a very special theme. This is not the first time the idea of the future and what our environment will look like around us along with our styles, technology, knowledge and how our humanity may change, has been brought to the forefront and explored. It seems in each decade we explore these issues further and our perspectives change based on what we learn from the present. I often have wondered about the idea of utopian worlds, with music, art, architecture, urban planning, global communications, technology, transportation, commerce, food harvesting, civilization changes, social systems and even human bonding. In my mind, I think we often carry with us pieces of the past and present as part of us, to remember who we are as people and to pass onto future generations to learn from and evolve. Therefore, this particular collection, is a reflection of these thoughts. Some of the designs have elements which reflect the retro preriods (60's - 80's) combined with a futuristic edgy or utopian feel. So the collection tends to split into two because of this. Few of the pieces have simple shapes to symbolize our need to simplify our lives and a few are organic in shape to symbolize our close relationship with nature. Lighting is used as a symbol of our energy, which as many know can not be created nor destroyed but passed on. The textures used reflect our juxtaposition of knowledge between what is pure, new, unknown and what is aged, used, or refurbished being carried through the decades. We are made of the same matter as stars, so it's only natural that we feel a close connection with them, expanding ourselves across the galaxy. On a quest to explore the future and make your SL lives more imaginative, here is our CyberTech collection. C.C.
