a step back in time

I got my love of baking from my paternal grandma and my mom. I started 'helping' at about age 3. I knew I'd made it to the 'big leagues' when they finally let me make this Lazy Daisy Cake from start to finish on my own, including the broiling of the top to finish it off.

 

Plated on vintage Fire King azurite saucers in the "Charm" pattern. I love their softness.
