laundry list

No, not really, but it sounded like a good title...

I picked up all three of these pieces in the last couple of days. The first is a machine-quilted runner. I am so NOT a quilter... I WISH I was... but alas, I am NOT. So I was very happy to pick up someone else's handiwork, especially when it happens to be in my favourite colours. I paid $3.99 for it... well worth it!

Next to it, is a beautiful vintage embroidered pure white cloth with scalloped edging. I'm no fabric expert, but I'd say it *might* be Irish linen. Cost: $.25.

The red and white striped one is a tea towel made by Cannon back in the days when Cannon actually made stuff in the USA. I will probably use it as a breadcloth, or a placemat/prop for my foodie work. The REAL reason I bought it, besides being only $.25, is that it just flat out makes me HAPPY to look at it! It reminds me of ice cream parlours back in the 50's... and that's before MY time (and THAT also makes me happy! :D)

NOTE TO SELF: Do NOT take photos at this time of the day as it makes your paint look DayGlo Yellow!!! (It really isn't!)
