say an extra prayer tonight for the families of the four fallen Lakewood, WA police officers.
It has been a very sad week in our area as four police officers were gunned down last Sunday morning while sitting in a coffee shop doing paperwork before the start of their shift. Today was their Memorial Service held at the Tacoma Dome, where over 20,000 members of police forces from all over the U.S. and Canada came to pay their respects. There was a 10-mile long procession of an estimated 2,000 police and emergency vehicles that escorted the officers' bodies and their family members to the Memorial Service. The entire route was lined with members of the community paying their final respects. Four parents are without spouses, and nine children have lost parents as a result of this senseless tragedy.
Also, hug your spouse and kids an extra time and don't forget to tell them you love them. Life is precious!
