Crestline Ohio roundhouse
One of the fossils of the might of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The concrete extension was supposed to be for the S-2 6-8-6 Turbine since the locomotive and tender could not fit into a single stall as built. The photo was taken in the mid 1970's.
With all things that was deemed "unnecessary" by Penn Central, this structure was left to the elements. My last visit in 2006 showed even more decay.
