Misrepresentation
During the October 7 #carechat, a Tweetchat facilitated by www.caregiving.com, I praised Dr. Xavier Amador's book I Am Not Sick, I Don't Need Help! Amador's book gave me valuable communication tools that I could use with my caree.
These side-by-side screen shots demonstrate how one tweet in a series was used for misrepresentation by an opportunistic individual whose work bears no resemblance to the actual book I recommended.
I will therefore take this opportunity to whole-heartedly recommend:
1. www.caregiving.com -- a terrific online community for family caregivers.
2. Dr. Xavier Amador's LEAP Institute, which teaches his communication tools and includes links to his books
3. Dr. Amador's lecture at the 2011 Nordic Psychiatry Academy (70+ minutes).
