Covenant Cover Components

In March 2009 I cut ties with Aisling Press for nonpayment of royalties and other matters. This blog entry provides more detail.

Jeffrey A. Carver's wonderful how-to article, "Psst! Wanna Buy a Free Ebook?" (Bulletin of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Dec. 2008-Jan. 2009) inspired me to re-release Deviations: Covenant as a free download. (Click on Carver's name above to access his own free downloads.)

I created the new cover for Covenant using MS Paint, MS Photo Editor, and MS PowerPoint, tweaking my sunset and summit shots. I took both photos while walking around my neighborhood.

I've now released Deviations: Covenant (science fiction/anthropological fiction/dark fantasy) as an e-book. Second edition, ISBN 978-0-9819764-0-2.

You can download it for free here:

http://home.earthlink.net/~deviations/downloads.html

The site gives descriptions of the novel and the series, plus review blurbs. It also provides formats for a variety of e-book readers, including Kindle and other Mobipocket devices, MS Reader, Palm and other PDAs, Sony, Stanza, a .pdf file tagged to reflow on different-sized screens, and an .html file that you can read directly on your browser.

I also provide a link on the site to ebookhood.com/ for converting files into iPod Notes. I've managed to do my own (seen here), but with various glitches.

Barring any change in plans, I expect to release the sequel, Deviations: Appetite, before the summer. Thanks to everyone who bought copies of Covenant's first edition, and who have been waiting patiently for Volume 2!
