Lead cutter

Description: Lead cutter. Metal machine with wooden base and a lever to one side used to cut leads.

Further Notes: Leads were used to space out lines. The lead cutter would cut out leads to a certain size to manage the layout of the page. Leads were bought in lengths and cut in-house.
