ARMENIA: Noravank 13thC Monastery Complex

Throughout Georgia and Armenia many of the monasteries and religious complexes are set in remote, inaccesible and wild locations. This is true of the Noravank complex. Built in the 13 C at the end of a steep and rugged sandstone gorge, with amazing views into the Caucasus mountains. The 2 tourists give a good sense of scale.
