Blue-Yellow Split Vision
My friends know that I am undergoing laser surgery for removal and replacement of the lenses in my eyes, one at a time. Last week Dr. Neil Martin, the inventor of the foldable replacement lens that allows the patient to see both near and far with near-perfect clarity, completed the procedure on my left eye. The major difference between the two eyes is that the color temperature of the acrylic lens is about 1500K warmer than the old, decaying natural lens, as you see here in this photo. The left is blue, the right is yellow in hue. Next week, the two eyes will match.
The photo was taken last week in a public park in Bogota, Colombia, by Mandy. I think Simon Bolivar won't mind being the subject of an eye test. After all, the pigeon seems to be his only companion.
