Mandy continued to prove each day how wonderful she could act as a mother to our two precious children, Paul and Vanessa. Vanessa took after Mandy in almost every way, especially her good looks and artistic creativity. Here they are on Thanksgiving Day, 1977, in Hamden, CT. We gave thanks especially because we almost lost Vanessa to spinal meningitis shortly after she was born, but a month in Children's Hospital in DC saved her life.
