Buttering The Seams

Once the turkey-in-a-bag is stapled shut, and the bag is placed in a disposable roasting pan, (use two pans, doubled for heavier birds) the exposed seams of the bag have to be coated with butter, too. (You want to make sure that all exposed surfaces are thickly coated in butter. This bird is going into an enormously hot oven, and you DON'T want the paper bag to burn!)
