Macro Mondays: PushPull
Unless you are a brass player this image won’t mean much to you. It shows the end of the cross piece or brace that connects the outer slide tubes of a trombone. It is also the ‘handle’ that the player will use to push the slide out and to pull it back. As you can see, this one’s had some use!
If you were playing the first line of Happy Birthday, the slide positions would be 1-1-4-1-1-2 so the player would push-pull-push.
