A carved white marble statue of a soldier in battle-dress

resting his hands on the barrel of his gun, standing on a rock. the base of which has an engraved scroll.

 

IN COMMEMORATION OF THE GALLANTRY AND SACRIFICE OF THE MEN OF THE MYTHOLMROYD URBAN DISTRICT WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-18.
