No 18 - Heard Sheffield?
Location : Tudor Square.
Artist : Temper.
Sponsor : Henry Boot.
Heard Sheffield? is a conceptual piece of art created by acclaimed artist Temper. This Masterpiece features photo-realisitic portraits of some of Sheffield’s greatest musicians from popular culture. Painted entirely freehand in spray paint, this special, highly crafted and technical piece includes Jarvis Cocker, Philip Oakey, Joanne Catherall, Susan Ann Sulley, Joe Cocker, Alex Turner, Joe Elliot, Jon McClure, Roisin Murphy and Oliver Sykes. The elephant is black and white and features the hallmark stamp of Sheffield’s assay office behind its right ear to mark how precious it is. A single spray can is held by the elephant within the end of his raised proboscis (trunk) whilst trumpeting. Signed by Temper.
