St Peter, Bolton, Greater Manchester, 1867-71.

Funeral Hatchment - Non Nobis Solum Nati Sumus.

I have yet to discover to which family this belongs.

 

A Hatchment is a large, painted tablet, typically diamond-shaped, bearing the coat of arms of someone who has died. After hanging outside the family home for a period they were brought inside the church and displayed in their honour.
