New Flyer trolleybus in San Francisco
Over the last few year, San Francisco Municipal Railway (or 'Muni') replaced its whole 280-odd-strong trolleybus fleet with New Flyer products. The same marque has also come to dominate Muni's diesel-powered buses and thus the scene in San Francisco is now much less diverse than it was only a few years ago. The 40ft trolleybus model is denoted the XT40 by New Flyer, and here bus 5800 heads south along Castro Street about to cross Market Street on a 24-Divisadero journey.
