Dutch group VDL is best known for its Futura 2 coaches in the UK, but it also has a substantial bus operation as well. VDL is still a family-owned business but over the years it has purchased Berkhof, Bova, DAF Bus and Jonckheere (and possibly others that I can't remember). This pic shows members of its Citea bus range lined up in some typical Eindhoven post-industrial scenery; they range from the 9.9m diesel version on the left through a variety of longer diesel or electric versions to the BRT-style red and white example on the left. Just about visible on the roofs of four of them is the opportunity charging equipment fitted, which via a pantograph recharges the on-board batteries.
