That Sinking Feeling

Ladybower Reservoir, Peak District, UK

It's been rather wet and grey for a long time now. I thought I'd do a black and white study of one Ladybower Reservoir's overflow holes. The overcast and even lighting was perfect for this. The rain spots on the filter didn't make things easy though. Must take a brolly next time.

These giant plugholes are an awesome sight when the water is in full flow.

If you haven't seen these already, there are some amazing images on Flickr from Nat who abseiled down one.

On another note. I got a new Sigma 10-20 lens. My local shop didn't have the f4-5.6 so sold me the f3.5 version at a great price. Only problem is the filter thread is 82mm rather than 77mm. The biggest problem with this is I can't use my ten stop nd filter. doh.
