The Monk and the Dancing Stones
No greater peace can be found than that which is found in nature. Magical things can happen with a mind at peace.
This build is two years in the making! Several prototypes and iterations have led to this mechanical vignette. Depicting a monk's magical control over hexagonal rock columns, I took inspiration from real work world locations such as Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.
The rising and falling of the columns is done with several pistons and cam shafts all linked together and bypassing each other by the smallest margins. I will share more info on the mechanism in a future post.
So glad to finally have this build finished! Check out the video here to see it in motion!
