Switchback
The trail was like this: gentle ascent on a paved trail, slight rise on a winding trail, up and down beside steep cliffs, switchbacks on the side of a steep hill, murderous stairs up to a tunnel, pitch black tunnel through the edge of the crater, rusted metal spiral staircase in a cement shaft, opening to stunning views and a gunner's perch, more winding trail and stairs up to a viewpoint on the edge of the crater. It was all worth it for the views. All 350 plus stairs.
