I had the opportunity to be the official photographer for Dr. Hazel Mahone annual fundraiser golf tournament. Proceeds from this event benefit her Vision 2000 Educational Foundation. Her foundation provides state of the art student centered programs in an atmosphere of high expectations. The organization work diligently to close the achievement gap in math and reading. To accomplish this staff establishes an environment of winning and succeeding. They also serve as an advocate for students and their families. Past and current recipients of this program spoke at the awards luncheon and shared how their involvement in Vision 2000 has helped them to achieve academic success and goals they did not think were possible.
