The R32 fleet consisted of 600 60' stainless cars in two contracts: R32A (3350-3649, purchased by the City of New York) and R32 (3650-3949, purchased by the New York City Transit Authority through a 1963 agency bond issue). The fleet was delivered between August 1964 and September 1965 (except the last four cars 3946-3949 with Pioneer III trucks in December 1965).
