Studebaker Corporation press photo of new 1965 Commander 4-door sedan on assembly line at Hamilton, Ontario. All Studebakers after December 1963 were built in Hamilton, as the company closed down automotive operations in South Bend.

8,663 Commander 4-door sedans were built in the 1965 model year (August 1964-June 1965) with 4,319 six and 4,344 V8, factory delivered retail price (FOB Hamilton) $2,319. A six cylinder heavy duty 4-door Commander option package for law enforcement, taxi and government fleets was also available.
