The incomplete car shells built at the Lakefront Plant would then be trucked across town to the Main Kenosha Assembly Plant for final assembly and delivery. The Lakefront Plant was closed in 1988 and demolished for the new Harborpark development, with a PCC streetcar shuttle in the revitalized area. Portions of the main plant continued to build engines as a Chrysler facility until October 2010 and then demolished in 2013.
