Hotwheels Dimachinni Veloce (2022)
The seventh Hotwheels build for this month is a more current custom model.
Just in time too, for instagram #mocaroundgang mocaround76 to the build theme hotwheels.
Hotwheels have always been about bringing car culture to to the youth of the day. This particular model is inspired by classic 1970s Italian Sportscars. This can particularly be seen by the angular rear-wheel opening (on the actual Hotwheels), a feature characteristic of Italian stylist Marcello Gandini - as an aside, the Italian maestro passed away less than one month ago at the age of 85
Though the official Hotwheels decription notes that it is a 4-seater, the style is closer to the mid-engined DeTomaso Pantera, or perhaps the rear-engined Alpine A310. Note that the windshield base is quite far forward, and the car has a very low nose.
Code HCT34
The Dimachinni Veloce is a play on the cretors name, this particular casting debuting in 2004, designed by Dmitriy Shakhmatov.
If you would like to participate in the MOCaroundgang build challenge, head over to Instagram, make sure to tag the host (me) @lego__911 (there are two underscore characters) and the challenge tags #hotwheels #mocaround76
The submission date for this build challenge is April 13th.
