Cadillac 75-Series Miller-Meteor Conversion - 1959 - Ghostmobile Rod

Strictly speaking the 6700 for 1959 under Cadillac's new platform naming policy, all long-wheelbase senior Cadillacs were still know as Series 75s. The cars were also known as 'Fleetwoods' a name that carried though into the 1990s.

Standard body styles were a 9-seat sedan and Imperial Limousines. However, standard practice over the previous generations of the long-wheelbase Cadillac program was to provide chassis to commercial body builders for conversion into working cars, such as ambulances and hearses. One such company was Miller-Meteor, a conglomeration of two independent commercial body builders by the time the 1959 Series 75 was in production. Miller-Meteor is perhaps most famously known now for the ambulance conversion of the 1959 Cadillac 'Ecto1' in the film 'Ghostbusters', but they also made hearses in various form, as illustrated here by this 1959 model. There were also dual-purpose ambulance/hearses built in this way also.

This particular model has been inspired by a Hellcat Powered Modified 1959 Cadillac in real life - as also posted to a Lego Facebook group.
