The small urban crossover though, has been bubbling along in the South American market for a bit longer though. The B515 Ecosport, then, was assigned to Ford's South American division to design and engineer.
Sounds great, until the segment explodes everywhere else. What is great in South America, isn't necessarily great everywhere else. Though the Ecosport looks pretty funky, some of its attribute performance and material quality is behind its global competitors.
The B515 is about to launch its MCA where some of these issues have been addressed - but it could and should have been a better effort in the first place.
