The presiding deity is Pirai Chudiya Peruman (Chandramouliswarar) and consort is Vadivambikai. Here one can find shrines of Lord Siva, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Shakti together. Main attraction of the temple is Vakkira Kali.The Goddess has eight arms, with a slightly tilted posture, a rare one. According to the legend, the Goddess vanquished the demon Vakkrasura and hence she is called as Vakkrakaali.
