7614 - Kodumbalur Moovar Temple-மூவர் கோயில், கொடும்பாளூர்

Moovar Koil or "The Three temples" is a Hindu temple complex situated in the village of Kodumbalur, 36 kilometers from Pudukkottai in Tamil Nadu, India. These temples are believed to have been constructed by a 10th-century Chola general Boothi Vikrama Kesari. Only two of the three temples have managed to survive. The place was ruled by Irukku Velir chieftains.

Though these temples are smaller in size, but rich in architectural beauty . Really they are forerunner to later Chola temples.

This temple is maintained and protected by Archaeolagical Survey of India
