The smart way to organise your pots and pans
This photo is from my blog post The smart way to organise your pots and pans.
----------------------------------------------
To organise my pots and pans and other big kitchen items I make use of vertical space.
I picked up this wooden shoe rack from IKEA for $10. I put the shoe rack up the back of the cupboard and put my:
* big items on the top shelf
* smaller items on the middle shelf
* rarely used items (lids, cake tins, etc) under the middle shelf
This leaves the front of the cupboard clear for the things I use every day like frying pans, and for items which are too heavy to go on the shoe rack like my ceramic mixing bowls.
Tip - If you wanted to put heavy items on your own shelf you could buy a metal shoe rack instead of a wooden one - just make sure it will fit in your cupboard first as you may not be able to cut it to size if it doesn’t.
