I'm a ticking time bomb, waiting to blow my top. No one would ever know, not until I blew up.

So for all of September I participated in the 30 Songs in 30 Days madness and loved every last second of it. Now I honestly can't listen to songs without trying to figure out a way to turn it into a concept for a photo shoot. It's kind of crazy. Anyway, since the beginning of my 30 days was spent mostly trying to annoy the crap out of my friend Tara by picking songs from artistis that would completely horrify her music-snobby heart, I promised her that I would ease the pain by doing a bunch of Tara-friendly shots once I was done. So for this installment of my Tributes to my Homies, rather than shooting in Tara's style, I'm choosing to do a Dave Matthews Band lyrical shot for her instead.

If you don't know Tara, then you're severely deprived. She is, without a doubt, one of the strongest women I know. She's loyal, she's hilarious, and she puts up with tapper on a daily basis, which I'm pretty sure you guys would agree deserves a medal. Her photography is inspired and she is working on a year of musical shots and teaching us a little something about herself in the process. She is a true friend and I'm better for having her in my life. Tara, I this shot's for you (and is probably only the first of many since I owe you more than one DMB shot). I love you, woman.

I find it a little bit funny that I wound up liking this shot the most since you can't really see the gun or my ring the way I had planned, and the way you can in most of the outtakes. But for whatever reason, this one makes me laugh. I think it's the expression on my face. And I thought Tara would enjoy a silly shot today. :)
